Tone-Pearls Records
Tone-Pearls have been proved to enhance the quality of music and voice recordings. Thus we established a new label, the Tone-Pearls Records, to create excellent records.
Our experiments have been shown that the beneficial effect of Tone-Pearls are more present in analog recordings than in digital recordings. The less manipulation we apply, the more faithful is the recording.
We use pure unprocessed analog recording technique and Tone-Pearls.
Music is captured by just a single pair of microphones (AKG C 414 XLS) set up in a space with good natural acoustics. Tone-Pearls are carefully placed in the room. Because the sound is recorded direct to stereo, there is no opportunity for mixing or manipulating it after the recording has been made. The recording device is a Nagra IV-S reel to reel recorder using 38 cm/s speed.
The master tape is used to produce vinyl records.
The master tape is also digitalized to produce CDs.
The first records will be published in autumn of 2008.
